Big Data Engineering

Data is the heart of today’s technology landscape. The key challenges of dealing with Big Data are migrating it to the cloud from on-premise storage preferably in real-time, managing its large storage, and satisfying its high computation needs. The cloud plays a critical role in providing this storage and computation requirements of Big Data. At Minerva, we have the technical know-how and expertise to migrate Big Data from on-premise traditional Relational DataBase Management Systems to cloud-based Big Data repositories by deploying modern open-source data synchronization and transmission techniques. We then transform the Big Data in the cloud into a format that is suitable for usage in Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence while taking particular care for the deployed cloud technologies to be cost-effective for the business.

Analytic Reporting & Dashboarding

The performance of a business is expressed concisely by analytic reports and dashboards. These primarily summarize business activities that have happened in the past and provide clues to how these could be improved in the future. Analytic Reports & Dashboards are therefore essential for the efficient operation and management of any business. The challenges of generating analytics reports and dashboards are to find a way to deal with the huge amount of business data in a realistic and cost-effective way. At Minerva, we have the technical know-how and expertise to develop end-to-end solutions for generating real-time and near real-time analytic reports and dashboards that are critically important to successfully operate any business enterprise.

Machine Learning

The process by which a machine learns to perform a specific task is called machine learning. Here past experience regarding a target outcome of interest is modeled to predict the future outcome. The field of machine learning can be broadly classified into Regressions, Classifications, Forecasting and Optimization. Minerva has deep expertise in all four of these areas. Minerva has built several proprietary in-house reference models including logistic regression, decision tree, xgb classifier, KNN, SVM, etc. Minerva also has hands on expertise in the latest neural network based deep learning models including CNN (Convolution Neural Network) for image, RNN (Recursive Neural Network) for text, NLP/NLU/NLG (Natural Language Processing / Understanding / Generation) using various frameworks including Keras, Tensor Flow, Theano and CNTK.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a wide-ranging branch of computer science concerned with building smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. AI is an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches, but advancements in machine learning and deep learning are creating a paradigm shift in virtually every sector of the AI industry. AI combines the results from machine learning with the domain knowledge of the application area to accomplish its tasks intelligently. AI and machine learning oriented solution architecture design and implementation is one of the core competencies of MInerva.

Natural Language Processing

Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a branch of artificial intelligence that deals with the interaction between computers and humans using the natural language. The ultimate objective of NLP is to read, decipher, understand, and make sense of the human languages in a manner that is meaningful and valuable. Some example application areas of NLP are voice recognition and chat bot based conversation engines. Minerva has hands on expertise in all aspects of the NLP domain especially by using deep learning neural networks.

Computer Vision

Computer vision works for enabling computing machines to see, identify and process images in the same way that human vision does, and then provide a desired target output or result. Computer vision plays a critically important role in the areas of robotics and in self-driving automobiles. The impact of computer vision in the days to come will become more profound in our everyday lives. The success of computer vision lies in the availability of cheap computation power of the cloud which is a critical requirement for deep learning neural network-based computer vision algorithms. Minerva has extensive experience in the field of computer vision related deep learning neural networks, especially in developing CNN or Convolution Neural Networks.

Robotics

Robotics is the technology related to the engineering, construction and operation of robots – that are assigned to specific tasks to accomplish these with minimal human involvement or guidance. AI and machine learning are two main pillars of robotics - with which Minerva has expert level knowledge and know-how. Robotics will change our lives and the world that we live in and Minerva is well positioned to share its expertise to achieve this technology revolution.
